Here is the classes and event info for the Edgerton SX race on July 9th. This race will be run very similar to our indoor events. We are hoping this location and event is a success so that we can add this to our yearly schedule! Edgerton is is only about 45 minutes from Sioux Falls, and 45 minutes from Brookings. It’s going to be a busy summer for us all. Dustin and Jesse plan on racing the SVCC mx races as well as a few other selected events. Dustin is already working on redeeming himself at the Vet Nationals starting in April. As far as Doc and Sharon, I am positive they are going to put over a million hours on their custom pontoon that they bought lat last year. It’s now almost time to start working on the Sioux Empire Fair Race that will take place in August, which is scheduled to take place on the last day of the fair, Saturday, August 15th.

Well, good old Mother Nature threw us a curve ball this weekend by dropping some snow and freezing rain. Coming into the weekend, however, things went pretty smooth. The crew at the Swiftel Center built some really cool tunnels between the buildings to keep the riders and their mechanics a little warmer. What a killer idea! With the biggest finish line jump we have ever built inside the Swiftel Center, we knew that the weather wasn’t the only hurdle the riders were going to have to adjust to! Some of the best racing we saw this weekend was from the Pro class and the old guy’s class, Vet plus 30! With Cody Gilmore crashing on Friday night on his brand new 2009 Honda CRF450R, we knew that the track was going to fast and very “racy”. This opened the door to several of our areas top pro riders to bang bars without one of the areas fastest. Another unreal Pro class weekend. As far as the old guy’s class, it looked like the start of Anaheim 1 when the gate dropped for both nights! A flip of the coin couldn’t have guessed the outcomes of that class both nights! From peewees to big bikes, another great weekend at the Midwest SX!

We were blessed with another great weekend of fast racing and unreal temperatures from Mother Nature. This race saw our biggest rider turnout ever with topping the scales at over 350 riders! We had a very “stacked” Pro class from Gavin Faith to Teddy Maier to Brandon Kruger which led to some of the fastest lap times we have ever seen inside the Swiftel Center! It seems like every time we build these tracks, Jesse comes up with some wild ideas that seem to create some bar to bar action packed racing! See you all in January 2009!
